No, they don’t all have pink eyes as babies - these are amels, as Sevy says, so dad is het amel. I remember you asking, and I think we said they’d be normals if there were no hets, but obviously dad is het amel - the commonest het in the captive population, carried by a lot of them. Congratulations!

Looks like it, but could only be a snow if both parents are het for anery A.

Maybe a blizzard, but not sure if they usually have that much color or pattern as hatchlings (anyone know?)

Anery A is a nother very common het, so having 2 parents het for it is very possible.

Cute baby!

Looks like you’ve hot a good mix in there...with some regular albinos(Amels), most likely snows and then some normals.

Cute.

Yes, I too would say a snow. Baby blizzards can have some markings but the ones I’ve seen on Serpenco’s website etc don’t have so much of a pattern - just a little fainter pink on them. Unless in this case the parents are related, it’s more likely that a random snake would be het anery A than B - so my guess here is a snow. You could always email a picture to Kathy Love, ILoveGreen - she’s always happy to answer questions - or make a post on cornsnakes . com or cornsnakesource . com (without the spaces) - a lot of experienced breeders post there. Congrats on your great clutch! I was trying to work out whether one little head looked paler than the other - couldn’t make my mind up - but obviously it was! Very exciting to get such a surprise in your first clutch!

The Snow came out of a bottom egg...not one of the 2 in that one pic.

Woke up at 5:15 to find 2 lil Amels curled up in the eco earth. :)

3 more hatched! I left work a few hours early because I was so excited about the babies! Might get yelled at but oh well.

So I was surprised once again to find what I think is a Charcoal....then a Nomal and another Amel :)

Nope... 4 more...2 are piping! The 2 that arn’t hatching yet are the top 2....they might be a tad cooler then the rest below them. But they are nice looking plump eggs! :) I hate waiting! I’m keeping the Charcoal and maybe an Amel or Snow. Depending on what the last 4 will be. I think I saw anouther Charcoal head! :)

Gonna watch a movie to take my mind off of them for alittle while haha.

I think that’s an anery, not a charcoal. If that’s a snow, not a blizzard, this is likely to be an anery (A), not a charcoal. It’s more likely that your normal is het anery A and amel and that your blizzard is het anery A than that your normal is het anery A, charcoal and amel, unless the parents are related as mentioned earlier, because charcoal is statistically less common as a het in the corn world. Charcoals have low contrast. This is a link to another website where someone hatched charcoals and aneries. The charcoal hatchling is on the right of the picture. You can see that I actually asked the question and got the answer. link

cool thanks!

The parents are from the same Pet Store but The Male is a year older. I don’t think that the pet store breeds their own snakes either...sense the Female Blizzard was sold as a Male Snow Corn for $25. My Male Normal was only $25 but he gave it to me for $20 because I also bought Kathy Loves Corn Snake Book :) But it was misplaced when I moved over a month ago.

The Temp is 82-85 degrees and Humidity is about 75-80% right now. Why? Does that make a difference in what kinds you get?? I don’t think I’ve ever read that?
