Baby wont eat recently we inherited a baby corn ( we were told he was about 4 weeks old) i know he hasn’t eaten in at least 8-10 days. we tried live one day old pinks and he wouldn;t take it, just moved it. we have left him alone to get used to his new surroundings, and given a heat pad to ensure he isn’t cold, but he still wont take it. i really dont want to have to try to force feed, but he’s skin and bones and i dont know how long he’ll last. also will handling him now hinder his eating? we were handling him, but left him alone on the advice of a local pet store owner and he still will only ’play’ with his food???? why would he move it but not take it?

Baby wont eat I tried to feed again twice today. I wonder, how long would it take for an 11-13 inch corn, about 2 cm’s thick around to eliminate food through his entire body? he has 2 small bumps that look to me as if they may be his last meal still digesting. i dunno? i tried to force him, to piss him off enough to strike, and braining today and he still wont take it, but he’s still very active (although a bit pissed off with me) ill have to just keep trying. PLEASE anyone with anymore knowledge/suggestions im more than happy to hear from you...

Baby wont eat Try placing him in a small deli cup and putting the pinky in there with him. Now leave him sit overnight somewhere where there is no distractions and see if that works. Also, you said you have been feeding live. Try Frozen/Thawed and see if that works. You also said he is skin and bone. I am assuming that the skin might be slighty hanging off. Try soaking him for part of the day in some warm water. He may be dehydrated.

Baby wont eat So, now my snake has been swimming in his water dish by himself on a daily basis, he still hasn’t eaten anything , we keep trying to feed every few days, and we try half a pinkie. I wonder if im mad, but i think he looks bigger than when i got him and everyone else that has seen him agrees, he is bigger?? He is still very active so im trying not to worry too much.
