Oh oops no, I just tried it and it worked. I think the snake was looking for some more. LOL...
I have a question though, aren’t you worried that the snake might get some of the substrate caught in it’s mouth?

no im not worried the rat is dried so it dotn get stuck and if some get on it i pull off with tongs. hes been feed on aspen bedding for 8 years so not worried if a lil get in. very rare he gets soem in. also hes aggressive while handling so i not good to handle a 6’6’’ snake after eating or takin him out for tha matter.

i try to hold him but hes the type of snake that wants to be left along. doents mind you in his tank cleaning it at all, some rat snakes if raised from baby will tolerat handling. in my eyes rat snakes arent as docile as corns sicne rats get way bigger than corns.

Depends on what species of rat snake you are talking about. But since corns are rat snakes then I agree they are the most docile of the rat snakes. That is a VERY impressive Texas rat snake BTW. I think he much more impressive looking than any leucistic Texas I’ve ever seen, but then again all leucy’s look pretty much the same. It’s kinda cool when the natural normal phase has gotten so uncommonplace that it really draws attention. That is one snake I’d love to have in my collection. Congrats!!

ill try my best after he sheds. hes pretty darn strong so ill see waht i can do. might not be able to get a full streched out one but well see.
also tonight i jsut adpoted a female columbian red tail boa. shes 2 years old 5ft long i get her tongiht around 7pm.

thanks for watchin. hes a sweet snake. i forgot to cut the song down o nthe video thats why it ran longer. and i jsut got the boa settled in and hes kinda stressed sicne hes on aspen now insted of repti-bark. but now i got him one hide which is a cat litter box on the warm side and a cat litter box on coolsdie for water. beings hes gonan out grow any hide i give him hell be happy for a good 5 more months i hope. ill take a picture later tonight of him after he settles down from all the driving and new smells
