 I struck gold!!!!!!!!

I was walking my dog a few days ago and I lifted up a flipped over peace of plastic and found an sub adult corn snake. I already got it to eat so I was looking for some basic care.

Wow. Nice find I supposed. I can’t really imagine that happening. Good luck though. If you have any other snakes, I would keep them fairly separated, just for health threats.

I have a domestic born snake that periodically does that. It’s no big deal.

what is corn population there like. and check the laws it may be illegal for you to keep it if wild caught i know some states or even cities have laws stating cant keep animals caught in wild. even if available on pet trade so look into that as well. also remember unlike captive bred that one will be used to large expanses to wander through so stress may be larger issure then captive bred.

No he enjoys being held. The corn snake population here is not verry high so it might be a lucky find.

well if tyhe population isnt very high should be leaving it there so as not to hurt the population. also why would ur parents not let you post pictures of the snake? Personally i think youd be best releasing it. as for it liking to be handled i doubt that as after realizing not gunna eat it most snakes calm down with handling in short time doesnt mean it doesnt stress them out.
