Give her a warm soak and help roll it off the end. If you leave it the end of her tail may lose blood flow and rot off!...It needs attention now...If you can’t do it...take her to a vet....but the 20 minute warm bath should work...Trav

Yeah soak her in a 78-82 degree bath for about 20 minutes you don’t have to do anything about it.... I mean my snake has the same problem. when I got him he had that tail shed already, and he still does.

I did everything. Nothing worked but... that was because he had more hen one shed already on. DON’T soak her now, only after she shed it could damage her skin if you do!

Yes, is is a big deal..
How would you like to lose your arm, because you had something stuck on it, and couldn’t get anyone to help you get the thing off???

Quote:

I don’t know where you got this... but it is Wrong!

If you do not get the shed off of the tail.. the tissue will deaden and the end of the tail will fall off!

This cuts off circulation to the tip of the tail... and it will Not grow back, like lizards!!!

Do a short soak, or use the pillow case trick..

Quote:

The Pillow Case Method...
Take a Large Pillow Case
(one big enough that your snake can move around in, and soak it in Warm water).

Place your snake inside of it.

Tie a loose knot at the top, just enough to keep your snake from climbing out.

While it’s inside the Pillow Case, you can hold your hands underneath
for support and warmth.

Shift the snake around a bit so as to "force" him to move around.

Just make sure it does not remain on the tail, or in a circular around the snake.
Stuck shed "around" the body could cause lack of circulation, or on a tail end
could cause lack of circulation, and deaden the tissue of the tail.

It’s like using a wash cloth, but They are doing the "scrubbing" themselves,
buy moving around in there.

Use the pillow case method.
You can try soaking the Tail in warm water for a few minutes,
then put the snakes in the pillow case.

Link to a post that some one had a corn with the tail turning black, after not shedding the tail end.

Alright I’ve seriously had enough.
Quit giving out bogus advice!!!

Taper off?
Of course it’s supposed to taper off its a freaking tail.
But it’s not supposed to fall off!!

Just cause your snake probably has a stub thanks to your great help doesn’t mean they are supposed to.

And your guy with 35 years of experience,
And the other guy you refer to on your other posts,
And the other guy with 20 years,
They all need to re-inform you my misguided friend.

Or get a time machine and go back 35 years and learn from someone with a basic knowledge on keeping reptiles.

I was not being mean...I was being sensible and caring of the people you have been spouting bad advice to! You think about the advice you give young fella, and what damage it can do. You ask how long I have had snakes? I am 41 and I had my first one at 9 years old ...can you do the math? So I hope that qualifies me in this forum to give safe and responsible advice? I also have 2 ball pythons(which are a sight harder to keep than corns) and have raise a child! So is that enough credentials to tell you to stop spouting off???...Thanks Ichigo....Trav

You also just contradicted your dumb little self.

Quote:

That was followed by you saying they don’t have help in the wild getting their skin off so, that means you’re saying it would be okay for them to look "weird" in the wild.

But then, low and behold..

Quote:

why do their tails look fine,or else what u guys are saying there would be wild corns with weird looking tails I’m just saying it’s kinda weird

..you state the complete opposite.

DO NOT give advice here if you do not know what you’re talking about. Which you don’t.

Have a good day.

And I would gladly be your friend ichigo, if only you would please stop misinforming people.

If you do not know something, let others who do help out that way you will learn and know how to give the right information next time instead of jumping the gun and saying whatever you feel fit.

You could seriously mislead someone and that could cause them problems with their pet.
I don’t think you would want that burdening you would you?

Ichigo, Just let it go. Nepo and Traviss have a point. You need to do more research because the info your giving people maybe wrong.... and when it’s wrong someone could hurt there snake. Seriously guys we all know he’s not very experienced, I’ve had corns for idk 6 years... Not very long, Traviss has had like 32 year of experience, and Nepo I bet you have a lot of experience too. So Ichigo let it go, they have a point.
