If you don’t know how to read or understand the instrument you shouldn’t have ANY pets EVER! Do some research!

 Fluker’s Thermo-Hygrometer

By the way I used to use a zoo med with a probe on it and it read out 87%F during the day and 75 during the night so I was wondering if the fluckers 1 worked differently. It doesnt have a probe like the zoo med. the zoo med thermometer was to long so i place it underneath the aspen bedding and had the probe sticking out in the middle. sorry for the long post.

 Fluker’s Thermo-Hygrometer

Wow! That was rude!

Getting new equipment and asking how How to Understand it, to me, Is Responsible :o)

I use the Acurite brand therm/hydrometers...
as discribed in SETTING UP YOUR ENCLOSURE...

Quote:

Digital Thermometer/Hydrometer (found at Wal-Mart [Hardware dept %11.88]
- Lowes, Home Depot, etc for less than $15)
(Dial gages are Crap) the probe from the therm/hydrometer gores IN the Warm Side Hide - the unit goes on the cool side of the tub/tank.

You need to get something similar to this...

Temps should read:
Warm Side: between 75-85 F (25-30 C)
Cool Side:between 70 - 75F (21C - 31C)
Humidity: between 40-50%
the Probe goes Inside the Warm hide
(don’t attach it - makes for a pain when cleaning)

Unit goes in cool side... near the bottom of enclosure
In temp = Cool side temp
Out temp = Warm side temp
Bottom Reading = Humidity Level

Feel free to Ask More Questions

and from another forum...

Here is a pic I use for demonstration of placement, in a glass enclosure....

The Unit goes In the enclosure, on the Cool side... 2-3" from the bottom
(the Unit reads the Cool side temp, and Humidity).

The Probe (wire thingie that reads the Hot Side Temps)
goes In the Hide, above the substrate.
(some people do attach the probe directly to the UTH, I just put it on top of the substrate)

I like to really "stuff it up" for my BPs... here’s a pic of my enclosures...
to show you how I provide them with as much security/privacy as possible :o)

I actually have more vines in there than shown... I added more - LoL
There is approx 15-18 ft of vine in each enclosure.

Hope this helps :o)

Wow. You’re an idiot. It would seem to me that if someone is on here asking a question, that pretty much falls under the category of "Doing some research".
Again...you’re an idiot.
