Ichigo, you really must take some initiative. Why should people on here attempt to explain the very complicated, sensitive and intricate business of breeding corns to you? Anyone with any sense and maturity goes and reads up on it themselves. It’s not a subject that we can give you a quick and easy spoon feed on. Please make the effort and if you want to know, take responsibility for going and buying a book - either the one Scylla suggested, or Kathy Love’s cornsnake manual. You can buy them in stores if you don’t want to buy them on the internet. Here is a care sheet on breeding corn snakes, which I have found very useful. breeding corns Notice how much is written - more than someone could or should have to write on a thread. But you can’t rely on any one care sheet - you should do your reading properly. And once and for all, people on this board are here to help people who have made the effort to learn things themselves and still have questions - not to spoon feed you. Please don’t behave in such a childish way.

If you got screwed by "some guy" that you bought something off of the internet from before...Maybe you shouldn’t deal with unknown individuals!

I suggested (a long time ago) that you buy it from Amazon.com...A multi-million dollar corporation!!!

Not "some guy"!!!

Buying things on the internet (if done right) is far safer than handing your credit card to a waiter or waitress in a restaurant!

Buy the book and stop making excuses!

Looney-45, I totally agree. It’s our first breeding season too, and it’s driving me crazy trying to figure it all out. So far I have a clutch of kingsnake eggs and a clutch of ball python eggs (both parents het for pied, so fingers crossed), but figuring out the ins and outs is maddening.

What was the name of the company? If that did happen the chances are that the company was a fake, just use amazon.

As Scylla said Amazon is a great website and if you buy from them you’re pretty much guaranteed to get the product. Companies like amazon and ebay (Is that technically a company?) have policies and such to stop these kind of problems occuring. So long as you do it right (which really isn’t too hard) you’re in safe hands with amazon and the deliveries are very quick too.

I guess we should just drop it.

Ichigo is going to keep making excuses as to why he won’t buy the book.

Instead...He’ll just leach off of everyone else who has enough sense to learn about their Corn Snakes by actually purchasing the $10 Book and then READING the $10 Book!!!

Me personally...I will always do the right thing with my animals! Too bad some people don’t have the same level of commitment.

A tip with humidity, lay some moss around the outside of the egg box, about a 1’’ high, be careful not to cover up any air holes. then spray the lid of the egg box, with water and on the top of the substrate, be careful not to get any water on the eggs. After wards, spray the insides of the incubator, this will increase you humidity to between 90-100%. You HAVE to spray it DAILY!

With my egg box, i have filled it up with about 1’’ of vermiculite just to cover most of the eggs. i Have left the tops uncovered so i can keep an i on the colour of the eggs. Before the vermiculite was added, i have then added 1cm of sphagnum moss underneath.

Ill post a pick when i get home form school. :)
