Humidity Help I cannot get the humidty above 80% in my egg container...I have a Hova-bator incubator that I mist the inside of 2X a day and have moss all around the egg container soaking in water. The egg holder is a 8in x 8in (20cm x 20cm) plastic ware tub with vermiculite bottom and a moist cap of moss covering the eggs. I only have a few small holes in the top of it to try to keep the moisture in. Temp. a steady 82 degrees. What else can I do?????

Humidity Help 80% is fine. Don’t worry too much about the humidity - what the eggs look like is the important thing. I have had the same problem in the past and the eggs have all hatched. Kathy Love told me that she never even uses a humidity gauge - she just goes by how the eggs look. Of course she is very experienced and most people do use gauges, but if the eggs are plump with no dents, just keep up the monitoring and don’t worry!

Humidity Help Sorry I cant help there...You’ll have to look it up on line, type in Kathy Love and Corn Snake and you should be able to find it somewhere...I found a copy at a local reptile show. JC
