They are awesome but you cant just "get" and "breed" them..... They take TONS of work. Good Luck |

I agree with what they said about doing research.. but it’s my opinion.. corn snakes are the easiest snakes to take care of... and you just about have to tie them in a knot to make them LOOK like they might bite you... they are very sweet. Be sure to let us know if you get one... Susan |

What type of amel are you interested in? There are quite a variety of amels and amel based morphs these days. Here’s a few pics of some of mine.... Alcatraz...motley sunglow...
Blaze, amelanistic corn, male...
Cloe, my daughter’s sunglow, female yearling...
Flame, amelanistic male, yearling...
Rain, my daughter’s motley Peachglow female...
River, my daughter’s Peachglow motley striped male...
These are from a unique line currently being produced by Jay Fischer Herps, here in Florida. To my knowledge they are the only breeder producing them at this time...Here’s a small pic of what some of the adults look like....
So as you can see, there are actually many amels. The latest craze is the Ultra or Ultramel. This is currently the only "co-dominant" gene known in corn snakes. It is only co dominant with the amel gene, however. There are still many breeding trials going on, and more to be learned about the ultra gene. Good luck and make sure you are ready to breed before you actually do it. |
