Hmmm... I would say yes... and for as long as possible,
till fumes are gone... but that’s just Me :o)

Not sure of the effects of paint fumes....
I would think it would be the same for Any type of fumes.

Welcome back Marg and thank you I thought as much so I will just move her upstairs to my mom’s apartment. Bella is doing soooo good, she had her first shed last night, (just a little left on the tail that we worked off gently with warm water), then she did her poo and today a live fuzzie for the first time!! I was amazed at how quick she grabbed that little thing as this was her first live feed. Like I said before some people say snakes are not smart, blah, blah, blah...but she definitely has her own personality and was very active today like she knew it was feeding day, lol. Thanx again for the advice Marg. Also, we have added to the cage two snake houses, smaller water dish and some vines, am going to wait a bit to put her in bigger tank though. Will try and post new pics this weekend. Jeez, feel like I have a new kid. My son told me get my own snake!!

Thanx! and good deal with moving the snake :o)

My son tells me that all the time... well more like...
"when do I get to play with My snake?" - LoL
I have My own :o)

He is only 8 yrs old, and very excitable, and we have BPs.
So, being that they stress easily, and he wants to show Everyone our snakes....
I limit how much interaction he gets...
Been getting more lately, but still limited

With the shed left on the tail - Never Pull it off - this can damage new scales underneith.

The way you did it was ok, but try upping the humidity a little next time you see signs ofshedding :o)

Humidity should be a constant 40%-50%, can up it to 60% or 65% next tme, if need be.

Any new pics?

OK ~ guess I need more coffee ~ LoL

You said pics this weekend - LoL

Also, with the "live prey" are you switching from f/t?

If so why?

When the prey items get bigger (ableto move around, and have bigger teeth),
you Must Never leave a Live feeding Unattended... this can leave the snake fall
prey to the prey.

I have seen Too Many pics of snakebeing Chewed on from irresponsible live feeding!
(if you’d like to see a pic, I have one - Not My Snake - just a pic I found)

Not to mention, depending on where you live, live may be hard to find,
and you will have to be able to House and Feed it... if the snake refuses!
