 Happy ending perhaps?

Hello all. ..Just came by to say my Corn Snake, Nimrod, was moved into his nice new 20 Gallon Long. When I put him in it, the day of, I noticed he wasnt himself. He was breathing heavy, liquid coming out of his nose and mouth. Clicking when he breathes. I knew right off the bat that he had a RI. I got very upset. I realized all this the night before I had a 2 day trip to PA. But...Im very happy to say he is all back in order. Vet suggested boost up the temps, and did I. Lol. His temps whent from his usual 83 degrees to 93 degrees. About a week and half later, after all was done, he shed and ate and looks like a brand spanken new snake! I was very happy that he got over his RI(Im guessing I caught it early).

I know exacty how he got it. I had a very hard time controlling the Humidity in his tub set-up. Hed always knock over his bowl and the eco-earth would stay moist . So I replaced his bowl with a heavier one. Days later I decided to swtich him into the 20 gallon with aspen. Wanted to keep the tank as dry as possible. But anyway, Im very glad to say hes looking great, active like his usual self and eating like the beast he is. Bowl is small, to obviously control the humidity, Im still very wary, eventhough he got over his RI.

Also, got 2 new additions today. Two Crested Geckos I named Smudge and Pudge. :)

Thanks for reading/looking!

Mike..

I’m so glad that Nimrod got over his illness. Good job of keeping your eyes open! He’s a good looking snake!

Cresteds... I’ve always wanted a couple of those... but I’m one of those that can be drawn in too much... then I get overwhelmed. Soooo, I’ll stay focused on my snakes. LOL.

Congrats on the new additions!

Fred
