HAS NO INTEREST IN FOOD
my husband and i have 2 corn snakes. we have never had any probs feeding them. for the last couple of weeks the female has no interest what so ever. it all started with trying rat pups she ate the first one no prob so the next week we tried again. she would not eat and seems afraid of it. so we tried adult mice she will not eat it. she completely ignores it. we tried tease feeding her. but she just acts afraid. one time she actually ran out of her feeding bucket and on to the floor as fast as possible!! so we leave her alone for a couple days but she is VERY active in her cage. she is EVERYWHERE where before she would always be in her cave. what is wrong with her!?!?! we don’t think it has anything to do with shedding , she has never acted this way before.
plz help us

HAS NO INTEREST IN FOOD Are they housed together? If so she could be gravid, and they need to be separated asap.

HAS NO INTEREST IN FOOD If they’re not housed together and never have been together, and she seems otherwise ok, I would just leave her alone for a week - no handling either - and then try a smaller food item. Perhaps she has got put off by the rat pup for some reason, and doesn’t like large prey at the moment. Try a couple of pinkies or fuzzies. Then you can build back up to normal sized prey. With an adult you don’t need to worry about a missed feeding or two - they can go months without a meal before it affects their health. Just don’t handle her until she’s eating regularly again, as she sounds stressed.
