My corn snake is about 7 months old and a few days ago she got caught on the tape i had in the tank. Some how she got under the tap and now on her neck is all open like a skin rip on both sides. The tape was completly secure some how she rubbed against it and opened it up.

So my question is how can i help her???

Please help thanks

well... there are two options to this.
what i did with my corn was i purchased this medicine for herps called Repti Wound-Healing Aid from ZooMed. it worked. and if that doesnt work please go to a vet especially if it worsens.

 Snake scabs

Ouch, poor baby! You can apply Neosporin (the kind without the pain killer added) change her bedding to paper towels if shes on loose substrate so no debri will get stuck in the wounds, if its more than tiny spots you should see the vet, even if its just small spots you should keep a close eye out for swelling or infection. Tape inside the enclosure is NEVER secure, no matter how tight you think its stuck down the warmth and humidity of the tank will loosen the adhesive of the tape. It will scab, just keep it moist with Neosporin, apply twice a day with a clean q-tip for a week. It will take several sheds (months) for the scabs to eventually shrink up, and she will have a scar. My friends corn has a scar on the side of her neck from a bad day with electrical tape, its been probably a year ago and she has a small darker scar in her pattern.
