 Mentally Challenged corn snake.

Hello,
I have recently aquired a hatchling corn snake that suffered from heat stroke. It will not eat, acts scared of the pinkie mouse, even though its dead, and completely ignores it. I know its hungry, and i know it needs to eat.
Any suggestions of what i can do to get the little worm to chow down?

I have hatchlings who have not had heatstroke which thus far have done the same. ( its been one week, two tries...but we will try again tomorrow after a week of leaving them alone completely except to peek in once a day to see that they are alive)

I was told feed them in the dark, in a small container such as a deli cup or small brown lunch sack folded over with a pinkie who’s head skin has been pinched to expose flesh underneath. If that does not work, scenting it with leopard gecko urates ( that is to put just a tiny smoodge of it on their forhead. Can be interesting to find someone with a leopard gecko, then get just the white bits put in a plastic bag, then crush the dried up urates into a powder and smoosh a little tiny bit onto the pinkies forehead. I think I will devote a pencil eraser for this.

Good luck and hope it eats.

ohhh, Youre in luck then. You have plenty of lizard pee to scent with! Hope it works. Also the dark place left alone bit is really important. Im not even checkin the noodles today. Going after work to pick up some more live and frozen pinkies to see if any of em will take SOMETHING
( its been 2 weeks since hatching, one week since they all started shed, one shed exactly a week ago, the other three shed Tues eve/wednesday early am- exactly one week from when they hatched)

*Crosses fingers for both of us*

I’m curious where you got the medical diagnosis of "Heat Stroke" on a hatchling corn snake?

Who was the medical professional who told you this? How did they determine it was "Heat Stroke"?

I’m very curious to know.
