 Advice please

Okay, I found my snake. He’s an anerythristic corn and is a wee baby. I need help on caring for him. Also, what do I do for temperature because I live in Kansas and it can get pretty cold. So if you can give any advice please do. Thanks.

I thought you had a cage set up with a UTH? Do you actually have the snake now? Not to sound harsh, but you really should learn how to care for an animal before you get it. It’s just going to suffer if you don’t.

There are a couple good care sheets up on this site that you should look over. Your_only_nightmare has the best one, I think. Once you read up on general care we can help you with any specific questions you might have.

Reading up on the care of your Corn is very important, so don’t stop at just one care sheet. :) Make sure you read everything you can get your hands on and follow the best, most sound advice. Since you have a hatchling, it is even more important to get everything just right, so that your baby can make it to adulthood. ;) UTHs (under tank heaters) are one of the best methods of heating your tank for a Corn. If you have a 10 gallon tank, you can usually get an 8 x 8 size that will work perfectly. The most important thing I can think of at this point is to keep your hatchling warm (but make sure part of the tank is left cool so that it can regulate it’s body temp), feed it a little pinkie (baby mouse without hair) every 5-6 days and make sure that it has fresh, clean water every chance you get. I change my Corns’ waters several times a day, because they drink a lot and they are famous for defecating and urinating in their water. These three things are the most important, but aside from that.....THE most important thing is to read everything you can get your hands on, as far as taking care of your Corn. Good luck, and if I can help anymore at all, let me know. :)
