SUBSTRATE!?
 hey, im thinking of getting a corn snake. i have a ball python and am using eco-earth for substrate, i was wondering if could use that for the corn. ?

SUBSTRATE!?  Eco-earth... if I remember correctly, that’s coconut fiber, right? I do know people that use this with their corns, and have no problems with it. Ball pythons, as you probably know, like it because it holds moisture well, keeping the enclosure humid. Corns don’t need very humid enclosures, though, so I just use plain aspen bedding. It’s cheap and looks nice. However, if you want to keep to the same type of substrate you’re using for your ball python, I see no problem with that. The main substrates that you need to stay away from are pine and cedar. But, again, you probably knew that already. Good luck getting a corn! :)

SUBSTRATE!?  I havent had a problem with Eco earth with the corn hatchlings I have. Infact, I find it really helps with shedding. Since they are so small I have moss on one side which I let dry out between mistings, and Eco earth on the other side and under the water dish. The UTH Im using dries out the eco earth within a few days, so I havent had a problem with it being to humid. They have shed perfect every time.

SUBSTRATE!?  i have used the eco earth for my corns and i liked it but since swiched to beta chip becuz of cost a brick of the eco earth would run me 4 buck and do one mabe 2 tanks where a bag of beta chip costs me 7 bucks and does 8 tanks you can make a tank look very good with the eco earth and can even plant live plants in it with out a problem
