 Heating Trick

Hey guys. I was using a heat lamp on my snake’s tank for a while, unaware that the bright light the bulb emitted was actually stressing her out. I know I could’ve switched to a red or ceramic bulb, but I really like this idea, and I’m wondering how many other people do it or have tried it. Basically, I covered all the walls of her tank with some insulation foam, except the front and the side with the heating pad. This helps out with a bunch of different things. It makes the tank conserve heat better and eliminates the need for a heat lamp, and also makes the snake feel more secure (just like those goofy wallpapers some people stick up in the back). Additionally, with winter approaching, this kind of setup will keep conserve heat way better during a power outage.
