 PLEASE HELP!!

I don’t have any personal experience, but here’s a place you can read up on it.
Vet manual
I’ve heard it can be caused by poor hygiene or too high of humidity. If he does have scale rot, the whole cage will have to be cleaned out really well but I don’t know the other steps to take.

The step you should take is bringing the animal to the vet. It needs medical attention if that is the case.

I’ve heard neosporin is good too. But for sure you need to throw out the old substrate & disenfect the tank (NOT WITH LYSOL- you can use 409 or water with a little bleach in it, either way rinse it out really well)
And try to keep the humidity down. You can do this by keeping the water dish far from the heat source and making sure plenty of air can get in the tank (screened lid or air holes)

well the chipping on the scales has increased slightly but he appears to be going into shed again which makes me think he will shed those bad scales off I’m going to continue to put neosporin and offer food im also going to clean the cage real well other than that idk what to do for the little guy

I don’t know how big your enclosure is but what happens with smaller ones is that either water gets spilled or the snakes feces/urates will wet most of the cage wet and ruined and sometimes you can’t tell unless you’re looking real hard or feeling all the bedding. You just need to keep the cage dry. Maybe switch to a smaller water dish. As long as it’s dry it should clear up fairly quick.
