The Noodles pt Deux are hatching!

OMG I cannot believe how excited I am! I have been a freak since 9:30 this morning! (it’s now 1PM here) At present we have one baby and three more poking their little noses out, and a 5th egg showing slits. I’ve taken a couple dozen pics already. Here are a couple of Noodle #1

Thanks!! You’d think I’d laid them myself with all this carrying on I’m doing. Here’s Noodle #2 pics...

I like this pic cause it looks like he’s checking out his reflection.

BTW, I’m using "he" and "she" randomly. I have no idea what they are.

Next time you go into petacular check and see if they have a reptile expert on staff who knows how to use a probe to sex snakes.

Animal connection near my place has a woman who will charge $10.00 per snake she has to probe. If they are young enough to pop them she doesn’t charge. (She breeds some snakes and geckos). Of the 4 of the ones I had she only charged for one.

The Noodles pt Deux are hatching! pic heavy!

Ok, here are babies 3 - 8. Noodle 3 I’m calling Ickle Bitty, it was absolutely tiny (I don’t think he was quite 10")! And Noodle 4 Morgan named Tiny, ironically so. She’s over 12 inches! As best I can tell; they don’t exactly stand still along a ruler...

I have three more poking their noses out, and two that haven’t shown any indication that they’re in any hurry. Still excited!

The Noodles pt Deux are hatching! pic heavy!

Here are the rest! It took some doing to get things settled. Babies 9 and 10 went just fine, but on Sunday disaster struck. I was at a baby shower, while at home three more eggs had babies in them. My dog had a seizure (she is epileptic) and knocked down the incubator. Baby 11 had already come out of its egg. Jeffrey (husband who hates snakes) picked him up and put him in one of the boxes, but didn’t snap the lid tight. Baby 12 was only half out of its egg, and went ballistic, trying to bite and snap at Jeffrey. That was all it took; Jeffrey quickly tried to set the incubator back together and hightailed it out of the room. Unfortunately by the time I got home things weren’t good. N11 had escaped its box, N12 escaped the incubator, and N13 had died in the egg. The two good eggs from the second clutch were sunken in and upside down. I did manage to find N11 quickly and got him settled into his box properly, so that was good. Then I stressed like a maniac for two days. Tonight I discovered N12 just a foot from my desk, hiding in the folds of a bag on the floor. I was ecstatic! I scooped him up and took him back to the dining room. He is definitely a snarky little beastie! He bit my son and struck at everything in sight as I tried to get his box set up and settled him down. whew! My husband has named Noodle #12 Krikey, in memory of Steve Irwin, because that’s exactly what Steve would say if he came in contact with this vicious little guy! Enjoy the final pics!

Noodles in Boxes - This is my dining room table. The boxes are lined up on two heating pads, each set of six are set up half on and half off one pad.
