Bathing question As long as you maintain proper humidity for the snakes, they shouldn’t need a bath. What is their humidty at and what type of bedding are you using? I prefer the grounded coconut husk bedding because it’s easy to clean, holds humidity great, and looks natural. You could also make a shed hide for the snakes. It’s just a hide with damp moss or damp paper towels thrown in it. That way if the snake wants, it can go in to get the humidity it wants. Corn Snakes don’t need as much humidity as the Ball Python so this would work great for it. As for the Ball Python, a good indication that it needs humidity bumped up is if you see it’s eyes get a kind of "dented in" look. If you have never seen this on the python and it has been shedding in one piece, then chances are the humidity is ok and the bath isn’t necessary. Another thing, I’ve heard some people say that a bowl big enough to soak is not needed, BUT I prefer to have them for the simple fact that temps in my room (where all my reptiles are) spike occasionally. It’s nice to know that if it ever does, and I’m not home to cool the temps down, they can soak to keep cool.
