Awesome animals, guys! My turn (I love showing off my pets lol)! I’ll start with Ceres, my butter corn snake. She was my first snake to own. In the three years I’ve had her, she’s never once bitten me or shown any aggression. I love her to death. :)

Next is Scout, my adult normal corn snake. She’s a beautiful girl!

I was just giving a size comparison. I promise I wasn’t actually stepping on her :)

Next is my young mojave ball python, Legolas (because he’s legless lol). His colors are so bright!

Then there’s Heathcliff, my crested gecko. He’s really pretty, and fun to handle!

My last reptile (but not least) is my jungle carpet python, Mercutio. I like names from literature, in case you can’t tell lol. He’s about two years old, so he’s not full grown, but he’s growing very fast!

That last pic was taken almost a year ago, but I still like to post it because it’s so awesome. :)

Finally is Winston, my dog. We got him from a shelter, so we really don’t know what breed he is. At the shelter they had him listed as a boxer mix, but I don’t really see boxer in him. He’s quite a mix, though. I call him a purebred mutt :)

So there’s my little zoo :)

What you think I should feed buck, I figured hes big enough for small rats but I feed him a mouse amd it didn’t seem like enough amd I fed him a small rat amd he killed it with no problem but when ate it seemed to much amd I was worried that I might have hurt him by being to big

Thanks! Yeah I really love Mercutio. He’s an awesome snake. When I first got him in October of 2010, he was pretty nippy, especially when I would first go to get him out of the tank. It was pretty easy to tame him down, though, and he was completely tamed down after about a month. As of your corn snake, if the mouse doesn’t leave any noticeable lump in his midsection then it’s probably too small. If the rat is as big around as he is or a little bit bigger, then it should be a good size. It’s pretty amazing how snakes can eat such large meals!

I volunteer at my city’s zoo, and when I present a snake (which is quite often lol) I say that it’s like a person swallowing a basketball in one gulp. I think another volunteer told me that.

An Okeetee corn is basically a normal corn snake which originates from the wilds of Okeetee, South Carolina. The corns found in this area tend to have a brighter color and more distinct black border around their dorsal blotches than corns found elsewhere.

Here is a Normal
