what are the heating temps for corn snakes and what heat sorce should i use?

Hi Snakeman! You want one side of the corn snake’s cage to be room temperature, and the other side to be max 85 degrees! This can be accomplished using a heating pad! Or lighting heat source.

Chameleon man is absolutely right- no heat rocks.

For my corns I have UTH (Under tank heater) which looks like a heating pad. I also have a probe thermometer, and a temp gun to check and make sure my temps are accurate. The temp gun is the most reliable really.

Radient heat panels in a large tank are a good way to go- or ceramic heat emitters or lamps- though with those you really have to have them caged so your snake cannot cook itself ( it wont notice til its too late) and they do tend to dry out the tank so watch your humidity if you choose that route.
