SAND?
 hey i was wondering my friend uses sand for her snake and i was wondering if that would be a good idea. cuz im getting one in a couple of months :)

SAND?  sand isnt good cause of the risk of impaction but aspen, papertowls, and repticarpet are fine

SAND?  If you are getting a snake do not put sand in cage because when you feed it might eat sand to.ALso if you put sand in the cage you might have to take him to a doctor to get the sand out of him.One more thing use news paper.

SAND?  Sand is not good for them because the fine particles and dust can get in their lungs and they will develop infections. Aspen, newspaper, paper towels all work better. No matter what you decide to use for substrate, you need to feed the snake in a seperate container (any plastic container or box will do). You should never feed the snake in the container it lives in because then every time you reach your hand in to pick it up it will be expecting food and might possibly bite you (your fingers look an awful lot like those pinkie mice to him). When you feed in a seperate container it will learn to associate that container with food and the other tank is it’s home. Good luck!
