no, its not ok. The mouse will get bacteria can it can be harmful to your snake when it eats the mouse.

I wouldn’t do it... why take the chance? I know that some animals are able to withstand a load of bacteria, but would you eat that burger left out overnight? Not me. So I don’t make my snakes do it either.

People eat a couple day old pizza lol. For me it depends on how long its been left out. If its liek 6 or 8 hours I refreeze it. If it starts gonig past 12 then i toss it.

Sorry for the double post... but I wanted to include this...

I’m NOT an expert... just started... so my thoughts on this subject are simply that, my thoughts. I don’t eat anything left out for more than a couple of hours without refrigeration (got really sick on some bad mayo as a kid), so I don’t expect my snakes to do otherwise.

It’s like this... I worry about parasites, good husbandry, proper feeding schedules, heat, substrate, humidity, water quality, enclosure size, etc. etc. and so forth. I’d really hate to go through all that and to lose or have a sick snake because of it eating a "too old" mouse that has thawed, sat out, been refrozen, thawed, and sat out again.

So, as for me and my house, no snakes eating too old mouse! No one take offense! This is just what I do. LOL.

YOu will get parasites from food no matter what. Parasites arent designed to kill snakes or anything, its when improper husbandry comes into paly that parasites kill.

Some food you can eat after being left out and some you can’t.......Mayo is one that you can’t........Day old pizza is the best.......You would never eat prime rib if you knew how it was prepared....It is left out for days until it molds, the mold is then cut off and then cooked and served....This is why it is so tender

I vote for yes. Twice now I’ve fed a stubbborn snake a pink that has been out over 24 hrs. Other that still being a stubborn feeder (It’s the one I am having to scent with gerbil) it seems OK.

I’ve heard that wild corns will take well-aged carrion, so in teh frdige for a day or two is prob OK!
