Hasnt shed eyelid HELP !!!!!!!!! Don’t worry, when I first got my king snake she had a retained eye cap. I took her to the vet but they did nothing for it. She didn’t bother to remove it and I left it alone. She soon shed and the retained eye cap came with it and she has perfect vision in that eye. If you want to help her remove it the best thing to do is to wet a paper towel and let her slide through it in your hand several times. That will get all of the old skin off her face and it should come off her eye as well. You probably need to boost your humidity level a bit to make sure that future sheds come off in one piece. Either that or make sure she has a moist hide box in her tank but I find that if your humidity is a little higher there’s no need for the moist hide box and it’s so much easier and less stressful for them. Good luck.

Hasnt shed eyelid HELP !!!!!!!!! Another way, is to take a container fill it 1/3 of water, thn add in a teaspoon of Hydrogenperoxide, and let the sanke soak 24hours. Try this if the paper towels or waiting for another shed do not work.

Hasnt shed eyelid HELP !!!!!!!!! Every snake is different. The only way you will know if she has an appetite is to try and feed her. I have a few snakes that don’t want to eat while they are shedding and some that will. It seems to me that the older they get, the less likely they are to eat until after the shed. Babies seem to want to eat no matter what. I suppose because they have so much growing to do.

Hasnt shed eyelid HELP !!!!!!!!! There’s also a product out there by Zoo Med that is called Shedding Aid. It says on the instructions that you can spray it directly onto the eyecap to help facilitate removal. I use it once a month on my snakes and have had perfect sheds ever since.
I’d follow Weaver’s advice first... (its more "natural" and you won’t have to spend the $8.00+ on the Shed Aid if it comes off on the paper towels). I just wanted to provide an "alternative" that I use.
