 Camel Crickets

Can Camel Crickets be raised? My daughter found a coffee can with about 30 Camel Cricket pinheads inside. I’ll try my hand at raising them. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

My daughter found them so I guess I’ll call them Spider Crickets.

 Spider Crickets

Found about six more spider pins in the coffee can. The first fifty are still alive and growing.

i know this post is super old, but anyone else who is considering doing this, DONT. they get too big! my grandma used to have camel crickets in her basement and we honestly thought it was some mutant species. you dont want a pinhead hiding in your tank and then re-appearing bigger then your frog!

LOL....NOT a good idea unless you want your animal to get eaten too!!!!
Too BIG is NOT always the way to go!
Try buying 3-4 dozen reg crickets and raising them on your own!
Feed and mist them daily while keeping in a bark substrat!
Feed them friuts and veggies dusted in vits and calcium too as you would your animal!
Also dry cat and dog food too for added protine works well! Very their diet and feed daily fresh food as needed and you will have new crickets growing in NO time!
Add some egg cartons and tissue rolls too for them to hide in!
Good luck!
