 Crushing heads

I’ve recently taken to crushing large roach’s heads before giving them to my skink. This is because her dish isn’t very deep and sometimes they figure out how to get out, but with crushed heads they just sort of spin and scratch randomly, and she still has something interesting to shake around when she takes them. I never tried it back when I was buying crickets, but it might have been handy. I’m just wondering. Does it work with them too, or do they just stop moving right away?

Good to know. I’ll stick with roaches then.

 Crushing heads

several hundred of my crix got to big for my beardie to eat, so I started cutting off the heads. They still move around for a few seconds after, but not for long.
