 Just starting first batch

well iam gonna give it a shot .i bought 100 and put some fresh dirt in there .now i no its recommended to take the dirt out of tank and put in it own after 24 to 48 hours and temps should stay about 80-85ish and soil needs to stay moist . but i do have a couple questions .1-about how long after they lay eggs does it take 4 them to hatch ?.2-how many crickets can i expect out of a batch of 100 ?(usually order by the 1000 but didn’t want 10000 at one time so was thinking 100 was plenty)..any other advice u may think may be help full plz post ..all comments appreciated .....thx all !!!!!!!!

it usually takes about two weeks for the eggs to hatch.. the first two or three days after the eggs hatch is one of the worst times as far as mortality is concerned.. be sure to give them access to water, but via sponge or wet paper towel. crickets are pretty clumsy and utterly stupid with water, and if the adults are bad the babies are ten times worse. I don’t know the exact number you’ll get, but expect a lot. :P
Good luck!
