 Attempting to Breed

im attempting to breed crickets and i have started prob about a few days ago, i have substrate available for the eggs i have plenty of shelters for the crickets, water, food and i have a heat lamp to keep the temp up and i also mist it several times a day...now my question is the females molt into mature stages as well as the males and the males are chirping, but it seems as though the females are dying not too soon after they mature...help?

1st of all, dont mist, water can gather up in one spot and the dumb crickets can drown. Use wet paper towels, they can suck the water out of it.

ok, but thats not the problem because when i mist there is hardly that much that gathers on the ground its to basically raise the humidity a little...

humidity doesnt matter. inorder to survive they need water and food.for food i give them soft wet dogfood, and for water i give them wet paper towels. are your crickets dying rite after they molted?crickets tend to attack the molted crickets.

no see i use the humidity to keep em warm because they are in my basement...i think the ones dying are ones of old age, because it hasnt happened in awhile now...i wonder when little ones will start arriving...

it takes about 2 - 2.5 weeks inorder for the eggs to hatch. Normal house crickets(brown crikets) live up to 8 weeks.
