 Biting Crickets

I was trying to reply to the post of crickets biting.... My 5 year old SWEARS they bite him........ I truly never doubt what he says, so I’d say, YES, crickets bite!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don’t let your 5 year old handle the crickets, especially if he’s going to bite them. Better yet, don’t have any physical contact with them, put them in a cricket keeper, one that has tubes in it, and dust them with a calcium dust before giving them to whatever you’re feeding, unless it’s an amphibian, in which case you need to gut load them before feeding. You should gut load them for reptiles too, though, but still dust. If you’re breeding, just get them in the keeper before feeding, putting some sort of box in their breeding area, and dropping them from the box into the keeper.

I have never been bitten by any of my crickets. I often get them out of their tub by hand. The only problem I am having with crickets is my first attempt to breed them. I put in a dirt patch, got what looks like eggs. It’s been 10 days, so I hope to see pinholes soon.
