I have no experience with peat moss, but I have heard other people use it. Right now I’m using the Reptile’s coconut fiber but I’m not sure if the egg will hatch or not. I remember the first time trying to breed crix. I scope a hand-full of my mother’s garden soil and before you know it, two week later, hundreds of pinhead were all over the tank.

 An attempt to breed crickets

I just used a tuper ware bowl and put dirt in it and soake the soil with a spray bottle every day and my crickets are breeding like crazy
put a paper towel role leading down into the mud so that they can get out easeily
