Breeding cricket temps Will crickets breed in temps of 65-75? I have them in a room thats 85 right now and i was wanting to move some more into another room that i think is probally in that range.Im sure its like 75. I have about 1000 eggs waiting to hatch in the 85 degree room but i was wondering if they would breed in the 75 degree room.

Breeding cricket temps They will be fine. They just breed a little slower, and the eggs will take a little longer to hatch, that is all. I keep mine in the living room, which is usually around 75 and have never had a problem. I do keep a heating pad, set to low, on the screened top of their tank in the colder months tho. But that is when my house is starting to get down in the 60s.

Breeding cricket temps Warmer temperatures equal better chances of successful hatching. Ideal temperature would be in the high 80s. Also when your pinheads hatch, you get to play god and control how fast or slow they will grow by regulating the temperature. My crickets hatchling are about two months old and yet their sizes are that of four weeks old crickets at the store. Or maybe they are not getting enough intakes because all I feed them is oatmeal.

Breeding cricket temps All you feed them is oatmeal??? They need a higher protein diet than that.

Breeding cricket temps Yea I know but I just don’t have the budget to spend on high protein foods for them.
