 Egg development

Can you see/check the progress of developing eggs? I can see some of my cricket eggs have darkened, while others haven’t changed. I am curious, are the darker ones toasted or simply developing? I have worked pretty hard at keeping the bed moist.

Maybe the egg color represents the sex of the baby cricket. My cricket eggs are always different colors and all of em hatch so i wouldnt be worried.

It looks like the darker brown eggs were toasted. However, you can observes some developement prior to hatching. The eyes become visible before the pin head emerges. Thanks for your replies.
