 Hi

Ok Thanx, I am raising crickets, I live in Florida and it runs about 85 to 90 degrees this time of year, My crickets are outside on a covered porch, Do I still have to put a heating pad under my cricket eggs?

 Hi

You don’t have to add heat to your crickets. They will survive just fine. However, if you want to maximize their breeding and growing potential you will want them to be between 85-90 F all the time. I suspect nights in Florida right now are upper 60s or mid 70s.

You may be able to grow the quantity and rates you need without heating them. Good luck.

 Oh and...

I have heard all different hatching time amounts, what do you all think? I have heard it was 7 to 10 days, and well its been like 12 days and no babys, I have heard longer than that too, should I keep waiting to see if they will hatch???

 Oh and...

Yes keep waiting. The hatch time varies with temperature. My eggs hatch in about 13 days at 85-90°F. Just keep the eggs damp. Good luck.

 Oh and...

Ok Thanks, Is spraying them with a spray bottle every day wet enough, There in very sandy dirt so it hold moisture pretty good. What do ya think?
