If you leave any uneaten crickets in the habitat after feeding time, then yes the trapped crickets will go hungry and may nibble at you’re lizard’s toes. So remove any uneaten crickets after you’re lizard has had his or her fill.

How do you get the crickets out of the viv? What about leaving a small amount of cricket food available?

Thanks!

Curious

I just grab each cricket as I find them.I don’t leave cricket food in my leo’s tank. The crickets should already have been fed for 24 hours before feeding them to you’re herp.

I leave some fruit or veggies in my monitor enclosure. It keeps them from biting him and he eats the crickets that come out to eat the fruit. Works pretty good. I once saw some crickets eating a mealworm that I left in there.
