 Crayfish

whats the average adul;t size of a crayfish, i picked one up from a pet store that got it accidently with thier shipment of feeder goldfish and i was jsut wondering

They usually get about 4 inches, however I have seen one that was about 6-7 inches once, which was really freakishly massive considering it was not only the longest one I’ve seen, but it was wide too and just looked like a giant compared to all of the other ones.

Do you already know about crayfish care or have any other questions?

NOT REALLY, HES IN A 2.5 GALLON TANK, HE ATE THE 2 SNAILS I HAD IN THERE AND THE ARMS AND LEGS OFF OF MY AFRICAN DWARF FROG, I DONT REALLY CARE, BUT LIKE I GUESS ILL GET HIM MORE SNAILS TO EAT AND I READ THEY EAT RAW VEGGIES AND PRETTY MUCH ANYTHING ELSE

You might want to get it a larger tank when it grows, I keep mine in a ten gallon, and you can’t have any other animals in there with it except for food, I’d advise against live food like snails especially and frogs just because they might have other parasites that can harm the crayfish, and I feel really bad for the frog
They’ll eat frozen blood worms, shrimp pellets, algae disks, fish food, and really anything you give them.

he seems to do fine with the minnows i have in there, he just shed or whatever you call it and he ate that. i think he ate a cellery chunk i put in there too. im tryin not to buy food for him, just give him what i get free from work like baby snails, minnows and veggies
