I caught a young crayfish I found a crayfish in a creek and I have it in a fish bowl right now. The crayfish is just under 2 inches. The fish bowl it lives in is about half filled with water with a rock that sticks out of the water and some fake plants. I put well cleaned gravel at the bottom too. I feed it sinking carnivore food. Its mainly for catfish i think, But i think it has been eating it. I need some basic info on the crayfish, and if I am doing anything wrong then please tell me. I mostly wanted to know what kind of stuff it will eat. Probably algae and decaying plants and animals. I also give it decaying swordplant leaves from my fish aquarium. I plan on moving it to a 10 gallon aquarium soon. And someday when it reaches its adult stage I will move it to the pond in my backyard.

I caught a young crayfish A crayfish isn’t a fish at all. Its like a miniature lobster but it lives in freshwater. You might be more familiar with the names its also called, like a Crawfish, Crawdad, or a Yabby. Mine it only about an inc, but I think they grow to about 8 inches.

I caught a young crayfish a crayfish will eat about anything it can get hold of including each other if you have any goldfish in the pond you may not want to put it in there or else litlle by little your fish in the pond will start to dissapear. a crayfish will do fine in a ten gallon tank as long as there is land it can go up to breathe

I caught a young crayfish I moved it to a 5 gallon aquarium with lots of mosquito fish, and if its hungry anough it will probably catch one. There are also snails in the tank. Little black pond snails. So he can eat those if he wants I also put some swordplant leaves in the aquarium and I feed him sinking food.
