HELP!! New Saltwater Hermit Crab 
Husband let boys bring home hermit crab from vacation in Galveston. Didn’t know there was difference btwn land/saltwater crabs. How do we care for him, what does he eat? He is now out of his shell. The pet store was somewhat helpful, but now that he is out of his shell, I’m worried. Can we get him back in. Someone else had similar question in hermit crab forum and they were reffered to this forum. Answer also said Captain Jack would be particularly helpful. Thanks.

This forum is really slow, and I don’t know anything about marine saltwater crabs. For now I would suggest putting in some slightly larger shells, maybe it out grew the old one. You should PM Captain Jack if he was referred to you, or visit the fish forum. People there have marine tanks, so maybe someone has a hermit crab in one of their tanks.
