Rescued dog needs a good home.

That’s pumpkin-head, named so because of his large head. His story: I found him at school during lunch yesterday. I was hearing stories of how horrid the kids were to him earlier in the day, and couldn’t stand the thought of leaving him there. I examined the dog and found that he was very skinny, covered in ticks, and abused. I figured that even if he did have an owner, they weren’t taking good care of him and I didn’t want him to go back to them. I somehow convinced my drafting teacher to allow the dog into his classroom, where he spent the rest of the day. The dog returned home with me, and was bathed thoroughly before he was allowed any contact with my current dog. We brought him to the vet and discovered that he has some intestinal parasites, a problem fixed with medicine over a short period of time. He does not have heartworms, or any other dreadful disease or parasite. They gave him a few shots, I don’t remember which right now. (I will post them later) He is a very good-natured dog and very well behaved. I would personally love to keep him, but my own dog doesn’t allow foreign animals into the house without a fight. In the short time that he has spent with us, he has improved tremendously. He is not fighting the leash so violently, and appears to be much more comfortable. He is still shy around strangers who don’t gently approach, but he is getting better. Information: Found- At a high school Size- About the size of a large cat Age- Approximately 18 months.
