Whats does your dog know?
hy ( run) ho (stop) sit stay here paw hide and seek ( i hide many treats he gets it on comand) get it gentle up down jump over hill pady cake (it s awsome he jumps up and set his paws on my hands when i get to the word cake) and he knows more i think i forgetting a few |

I doubt it, have you taken him to obedience classes and actually spent time training him correctly? It’s amazing how confusing we can be to animals because we learn through talking and they learn through body language. I have successfully trained lots of dogs that were labeled "dumb" because no one ever spent the time and consistency to actually train them correctly. My dog knows: sit stay come wait up let’s go get in the car (load up) leave it get your toy find the treat dance play dead roll over go potty (get busy) stand heal crate bed drop it fetch And he loved every minute of learning them! Because I was consistent and clear about what I was teaching him, he learned everything quite quickly (and we went to three different obedience classes). We got him totally untrained and I can’t tell you how happy and relaxed he was when I took over the role as the alpha dog (he was not doing well in that position, lol).

I’m dogless at the moment but my cats have ME well trained! I know: feed me turn on the faucet pet me rub my belly kiss my head scoop the box throw the mouse get the mouse out from whatever it’s stuck under open the door get the laser remove the turtle from my bed! But seriously, Dragongirl made a good point that dogs respond to body language. That’s why I also use hand signals. One, it makes them focus on the handler and two, when I trained a dog for pet therapy I could use the same "trick" for different settings. IE., My signal for "give me your paw" was to put my hand out, palm up, so when we went to a nursing home, "give me your paw" became "say hello" and in a children’s home it was "slap me five". And as far as "dumb dogs", I’ve always found them the easiest to train. They’ll do anything for praise and a good ear scratch! Whereas the "smart dogs" tend to hold out for food rewards or play time, they always want something for themselves. Good training starts with understanding what your dog responds to. |

sit stay laydown come a cetain whitsle that i do, and she comes go get (ball,soup bone,meatcicle ect..) if i throw the ball, she goes and gets it, i dont need to say anything high five(high five left,high five right) lets go for bike ride(runs to my bike,ready to go) bring me my socks(yes she literally goes and finds me socks,and brings them to me) shake a paw when i ask her if she is hungry,wants breakfast,or cookies,she licks her lips when im drying her off(from rain wen we walk),i say turn around,and she does put ur necklas on(she walks up to me,and puts her head threw her collar) put ur harness on(same thing,but lifts her paws to place the harness under arms) up down kennel(she goes to it) umm thats ll i can think of right now |

My beardie knows: "eat your greens" "pig out" "please jump off the bed and run into the closet so I can search for you for hours" "jump on the dog" "try to eat the bed sheets" "attack the baby beardie through the glass" So, she isn’t totally clueless : ) My dog has actually managed to learn verbal signals (although he was originally trained with both hand and verbal). It depends on the dog, but most learn visually much faster and more easily. |

Sit Stay Kennel House up down (for bed or couch) door (goes to back door) speak zip it (don’t bark lol) lay down sit car ride (goes to car door) truck ride (goes to tailgate even if car is in the driveway) high five shake paw certain attack commands also can be told who to go to by name and will go kisses no licks nice (when giving treats to keep your fingers) settle (done rough housing and its time to settle down) they know a couple others too but on another note they know them all but when there’s someone new in the house they tend to ignore me lol |
