 What kind of Dog

Ok so i’ve been wondering this for along time now. when i was little a friend of out family had a dog it was a hound dog. he called it a red tick coon hound but i’ve never been able to find it under that name. so someone who knows hounds could you look at this pic and tell me the correct name as well as any extra info..so some day i’d love to have a hound type dog and this one is think is pretty she was good natured to but it may have been because she was just happy when she got attention

this is an old pic but it’s the only on i have of her

Half coonhound half leopard dog?


Or maybe he’s half leopard dog/coonhound and half fullblood coonhound.

He definately has some coonhound in him.

It’s a redtick coonhound. http://www.dogster.com/breeds/redtick_coonhound
It’s like a bluetick but it’s red... and it’s not technically a breed (not AKC recognized) but it is quite common in certain areas.

Trust me just because it’s not akc recognize dose not mean it’s not a breed the akc dose not recognize many very real breeds such as the

American Pit Bull Terrier which can be ukc

the u.k.c recognizes more breeds.
