 BOXER V.S ROTTWEILER

i’ve had good experiences with both breeds. my friend use to own both a rottie and a boxer. the rot was always a lot more laid back then the boxer though, the boxer was very active and friendly and the rot was good as long as he knew you before you came in to his yard. Both breeds are protective though the rottie from my experiences can be more aggressive when it comes to guard dogs. Both are great as family pets though i met many boxers who are great with people of all sizes and ages, to me they are more open to new people while the rot is more of a " I’ll sit back and watch until i’m sure your o.k." after they know you they are big old babies, i loved all of the boxers and rots i have met. So either one I.M.O is a good dog if your willing to handle dominance. though the boxer is not added in to B.S.L as much as the rot is so with the rot your running the risk of running in to a breed specific ban that includes them.

 BOXER V.S ROTTWEILER

I had a Rottie female Nelly rescued her at 12weeks from local rescue shelter
She passed on in Febuary after a brain operation
She had cancerous cells which caused her to stumble and fall over when she walked
Nelly what can i say about her ^^
Rotties are wonderful you give them all the affection you can and they give you 10 times more back
I have never owned a Boxer nor has one of my friends so cant give you an inside on them
So ill just do the Rottie side ^^
There affectionate, loyal, strong gaurding instinct, need stimuation or it will crack same as any dog really
You will need to have time and patience same as other breeds
Evan thoug hthey are intelligant despite there clownish looks
Most of the time during training they just want to play there jus tlike kids really ^^
Also there are vet bills Rotties can be prone to quite a few health problems same as Boxers both health problems are similar and are not cheap either
Do not trying to sound funny but just because there is no BSL where you are at the moment
Just becareful ok? Its hard to loose a dog you love to natural causes or to an accident or operation
But knowing that a law has given your dog a certain amount of time is harder and that you cannot see them once the law has take nthem and you can spend ton load of money trying to win court cases and buying them out just becareful on what you go with ok? Think of the future
And no im not trying to make you go for Boxer if it sounds like it
Just to make it clear
Hope you make right pick ^^ Sure you will though

 BOXER V.S ROTTWEILER

I’ve had both. My personal preference is for Rotties, but both are good. When I was a kid my mom bought "Carl" for my brother and I. She was a female, but we couldn’t think of a better example of a Rotty than the title character from the children’s books "The adventures of Good Dog Carl," in which mom left her baby with the dog and told "Carl" to look after him. The baby rode everywhere on "Carl’s" back and he always kept the baby safe. Anyways, she lived up to that name. She was very sweet, laid back, and had tons of personality! You should have seen us playing "Lazers" with her and the hair dryer! She died of Cancer when she was only about 6 years old. Most Rotties I have met have had similar temperaments, they’ve all been big babies. But they are big sometimes willfull dogs, you need to establish yourself and start obedience early.

I got my boxer as an early Christmas when I was 14. I was in love immediately upon seeing her. But I didn’t think about the fact that she was considered a "Bully breed, " and so didn’t think about her activity level and hard-headdedness. Great dog, even now with all her arthrits, knee, hip and heart problems she wants to act like she’s still a puppy.

Either breed would probably be good for you, but please check out professional breeders and don’t buy from a backyard breeder. From my experience many backyard breeders are in it only for the money and don’t really care what dogs they breed together and what they temperament of the pups will be.

These two breeds are my top favorites!, i luv rotties, always have, before i even knew wat a rotty was.(wen ur 3 u dont kno the difference between breeds.lol, but u do notice the colors). anyways, i kno alot of people with rotties(including myself), and they make great pets. but u need the time, and patience to train them. most rotties r laid back(still need a good amount exercise tho).
rotties are very intelligent. the more u teach them, the happier they are. brain stimulation is very important for any dog.
make sure u teach it,who the boss is. it needs to kno who the dominnt one is.
u also need to make sure u socialize it right.with other animals, and people.especially little kids. alot of rotties tend to wiggle their butts(maybe making up for no tsil.lol) and can knock kids over. i kno faith has accidently knocked over taylor a few tmes(she’s 2), but faith is only 60 lbs.so its not that bad

honestly, i luv boxers, but i dont kno alot about them.
i just kno that u being the alpha male,is very important.
chek the history of both dogs. maybe wikipedia, or sumthing like that. learn as much as u can. about the way they act, their needs, ect...
alot of people dont do the research, then cant handle the dog they get.
so do u homework, and good luk with ur choice.
here is my girl Faith, shes Rotty x(she’s 75% Rotty)

between Rotties and Boxers? ROTTIES!!!!!!!!!! The only breed of dog I would ever choose over a Rottie would be a Pit. Besides my current pit bulls... my Rottie was the most loyal..absolutely stunning pet I have ever owned. They are very protective though. My husband would have to call the house when he was turning on our road so I’d open the door.. so she would let him in the house when he’d get off work... now during the day she was fine... but at night.. (he worked shift work.. got off at either 11 pm or 6 am..) and if it was dark outside.. he could forget "Reese" letting him in the house. They are usually "one owner dogs" they attach themselves to one person and that is their master... however.. they love everyone in the family.
Don’t get me wrong.. I like boxers... my friends have one... and I think they are "pretty" but not stunning... not an animal that makes me go... wow that dog is beautiful... but that is just my opinion... so all you boxers parents don’t freak on me lol

Anyway.. I think you’ve narrowed it down to 2 great breeds and I’m sure you’ll get a wonderful pet no matter which one you chose.

Definitely Rotties. I’m not a huge boxer fan but the ones I have known have been way too hyper for my taste. I fostered Rotties for a while and they were always sweet and mellow. The took a lot of training and control but you seem to realize that. I had a guy show up at my house saying he was with a security company and could he come in and talk to me about my security system. There was no truck with a logo, he wasn’t in uniform and didn’t exactly look professional. I nicely explained I had a security system and he started to argue that we should still sit down and discuss "upgrading". So now I’m really suspicious. Next thing I know one of the rescues comes up and starts growling. I thought he was going to poo his pants right there. The look on his face was priceless. He says "O I didn’t realize you had dogs." At which point I explained that they were my security system and I certainly didn’t need to upgrade. What was weird was I never heard that dog growl again so I always wonder if it was my suspicions she was reacting to or did she know something. Anywho, since then my loyalties have always been to Rotties.

I agree, go for a mutt xD
I’m pretty sure I will never buy a dog from a breeder. I think I’m going to be sticking with the good ol’ shelter dogs. They have some much character...

But yeah, Rotties and Boxers are both great.... Imma vote Boxer tho

 BOXER V.S ROTTWEILER

just remember the terrible gas that boxers have, lol...i know all dogs have it but boxers are more flatulent then any other dog, the drool etc etc, just a few other things in consideration. And with a boxer i don’t think you’ll be dealing with dominance as much as you would non stop energy, and hyper-ness
