 Odor neutralizing solutions

I need to get my dog to stop repetitively pottying on certain spots of the carpets. The amount of urine in one part of my living room is stinking up the house, bleach never worked, Fabuloso surface cleaner and water never worked, carpet cleaner never worked, Rugdoctor urine eliminator never worked, etc etc so I am looking into ordering a strong odor neutralizing solution from somewhere. Where could I find some at an affordable price? (website, store, etc) I don’t want to spend like $100 per gallon.

I’m a big fan of Nature’s Miracle. A friend of mine swears by Oxyclean but I think it smells weird and it can stain darker carpets. And recently I was told that vinegar and water work wonders. I haven’t tried that yet but let me know if it works .

Is your dog a puppy or has he just started peeing inappropriately? Especially for the older dog in the second post who just started this, I strongly suggest getting him checked by a vet! The most common reason for this is a kidney or urinary tract infection.

Otherwise, Nature’s Miracle! You can get it at any pet store.

Dragongorl...

Thjis all started when we left home longer than we expected so he couldn’t hold it any longer. Now that the smell has gotten into the carpet it is making him potty there more (out of instinct) He is very healthy.

I have tried vinegar and water, it doesn’t do anything.

thanks everyone, I’ll go find some nature’s miracle.

Haha, in that case, Nature’s Miracle. For the old dog, I know it sounds ridiculous, but have you tried diapers for when you leave him alone? A friend of mine has little dogs with the same problem and she has to put diapers on them when she isn’t home to take them outside all the time.

If the stains/smell are really bad, you might need to treat it more than once but I’ve had some pretty bad stains that it’s gotten out in two treatments.

according to my mom, she treated a cat urine spot 3 times with natures miracle and it didnt do a thing... but that was like 4 years ago, I am sure the formula changed. (not to mention cat pee is the absolute worst thing ever lol).
