I am SOOOO glad Artist won. It was great to see him, the underdog with the 2nd least amount of experience, beat out the contestants with over 40 years of experience. He has that spunky, friendly personality that outweighs all the bad and competitiveness easily. His love for life was truly inspiring and I want to follow in his footsteps. I loved hearing his little proverbs and sayings. Whenever I think I’m not good enough for something, I hear Artist saying "Either you got it, or you don’t. I GOT it!!!!!!!" and it made me cry when Kathleen passed over Teddy at the animal shelter and Artist was like, "Why would I walk away from a dog who needs it the most? I didn’t come to pick the easy dog." and his definition of rescue was so bittersweet!! It also broke my heart when he said, "My son wants to live with me, but I can’t afford it. My mom wants to live with me, but I can’t afford it." and "the $50,000, the new grooming van...out of EVERYTHING, truly the best thing out of all of those is the fact that my son is out here seeing his daddy accomplish something, so now he can think ’I can accomplish something too.’" I LOVE ARTIST, HE IS MY HERO!!!!!!!!

I was hoping John would win because he’s got a lot of experience and always remains calm and collected. He wasn’t overly friendly, but he wasn’t rude. He wasn’t too arrogant, though he was quite confident. I really liked him...

I hated when Sonia, the person who can supposedly read the minds of dogs, came on the show. I had to laugh when people actually believed she was reading the dogs’ minds. I got a good kick when she began talking about how dogs can feel emberessed.

I did not mind sonia when i was little i use to watch her show on animal planet all the time. somehow she knew about jaspers dog?

I did not know artist had a son..he looks like he is only 19-20 years old.

i kinda wanted jasper to win but that’s just because i wanted a win for the guy who so did not fit the look of a groomer him and artist should have been the last 2

Artist is 24 years old and has been grooming for 4 years, and I thought he said his son was 4, but he looks more like he’s 1 1/2 or 2. Now he can have the job of his dreams, his son can live with him happily, and his mother can live with him happily too (and his dog can live with him happily too)

YAY FOR ARTIST! He and Jasper were my two favorites from the beginning. I liked Jonathan in the beginning, but his arrogance started to come out. He is very good at what he does but it just seemed to me that he was very arrogant. He was in it all for himself. Maybe he wasn’t but that’s how it appeared to me. Artist was in it for his family. He wanted to make a better life for himself, his son, and his mother. And now he can. Did you guys get a look at the inside of that grooming van?!? I think I’d kill to have one that looks like that!

I completely agree!! It was a fresh addition to a classic look.
I wanted Jonathan to win, assuming Artist would go home in a couple weeks, but as the show started progressing I saw Jonathan’s arrogant and competitive side, and Artist’s charm, friendliness, calmliness, and comicality (and his confidence) started showing through as her persona.

 Groomer Has It

I love how Artist won! His passion for dogs and grooming were unbelievable. I think its what set him apart from the others. I was rooting for him at the end XD. I admit I was sort of happy when Jonathan lost in the final challenge. He was so selfish and arrogant, its no wonder. It was strange when, while they were all making dog treats, Jonathan said to Kathleen "I go crazy for nuts all the time." I also thought it was strange how Jessica was sent home during the competition at the Long Beach Recreational Dog Park only because the Golden Retriever she had selected was an "easy" dog to groom. It was a fun show to watch though. =)

I feel so stupid now because I truly thought they taped it as is. But I guess it was like scripted or whatever. I’m not sure, but apparently John and Malissa were SUPPOSED to get in a fight, and they actually got along. I was disappointed when I found all that out.
