Hi everyone!
to start i am 18 years old, just graduated from high school (woo!). i live in huntington beach, CA, and i work at a pet grooming shop near my home where i’ve been learning the trade from two awesome groomers. i’ve been there for over a year now, and i love every minute of it (ok, so maybe not the getting bit and picking up poop part). i hope to someday own my own dog grooming or boarding place (maybe both?) or possibly a pet store. one of the best things about working at a grooming salon is i get to bring my baby to work! no, i’m not a teenage mommy, but my little shiba inu puppy is a huge part of my life. her name is Signey, and she’s 8 months old. she was born on october 28, 2007, and she was the best christmas present i could have ever given myself (i got to pick her up on dec 24). for anyone who hasn’t heard of or knows nothing about shiba’s, they’re independent little creatures with attitudes you’d never expect of their size. signey has never let me down in that respect. her best friend is a 1 year old akita named Kayo (my boss’ to be exact). Signey’s favorite word is ’mine’, and she also happens to be a sandal and underwear connoisseur. as for my other pets i have 2 leopard geckos (male and female) and one male chinese water dragon. i used to breed leopard geckos and sell them, but it turns out raising and training a shiba puppy is a lot of work, so instead of neglecting the poor things, i gave my breeders up to more loving homes and kept the other three as pets. i also live with my grandparents and two older cats named keesha and nixi. here are some photos of my little baby Signey.. when she was only a month old! (barely 2 lbs)
