 Its a girl!!! well heh its OT but oh well

So since the Horse forum is quiet atm I thought I’d share the news, today we welcomed into our family SHC Trail of Tears to our family. Tears is an APHA baby and is doing well we managed to wrangle a halter on her and she seems to be adjusting (Now if we can get Mare 2 to drop her baby it will be grits and gravy) but thats another 5 months give or take due to we are not sure date of concepion (Ignorant people not keeping care of their studs) so thought I would share!!! and apologies for disrupting the forum but for people that might get irate *Points*I did mention OT in the post headline!!!

CONGRATS!!!! When I first read the headline, I was like, I didn’t know you were pregnant! Then I didn’t pay attention to the **horse** part, and I was thinking, what kind of name is SHC Trail of Tears for a baby, it sounds more like a dog or a horse. Then I figured it out and I was like OOOOHHHHH. Sorry, I just got back from my run and I’m not the brightest bulb around :-) lol lol lol lol

Congratulations ! Grits and gravy, now that’s funny .I will have to remember that saying . One of my favorites is , "that really fry’s my bacon ", LOl.

Congrats Celtic! You will post pics, right? I’ll definitely be looking for them when I visit the horse forum! My friend just today welcomed 8 month old paint "Bandit" to the family today, he’s the prettiest colt I think I’ve ever seen.

Thanks, and I sure will she is right now being very carefully guarded and watched as a newborn, was a major surprise, I took her mother on as a rescue she was emaciated and distrusting, had vaccines ect done on her... I was out trimming the hooves of my other 4 couldnt find her, walked around and saw her standing lil bit was on her side... as I got closer I realized what had happened...umm surprise?? heh shes a pretty paint filly though...Her Mother isnt supplying a lot of milk though (Because of her past conditions) so Ive been bottle feeding to sort of take the brunt off....

I suppose this was her way of saying "thank you for taking me in" but we had no clue, I have my babygirl due in 5-6 months, shes maiden mare so I have been VERY paranoid with my Arabian... I have been working with the filly so shes gotten so people friendly its ridiculous (then again the other day she tried to get in the car) Give a few weeks and I will post I need a better camera!!!!

yeah heh Grits n gravy is one of my favorites along with "bless your heart" when Im mad at someone instead of cursing at them..I have a creative vocabulary english wise but when Im angry I start fussing in Cheokee and Lakhota...Gah I cannot believe Im up in horses, I have two rescues coming to me in a month or so.. ~shakes head~ they will eat me out of house and home

Isn’t she the cutest...?? My Great Danes think they hvae a girlfriend now (Shes the size of them maybe a bit smaller)
