 Good Breeder?

So I have no idea what to look for in a breeder. I think I may have found a good one, I would really appreciate if some of you guys could look at their site and see what you think, obviously you can never tell for sure unless you actually go there but you could get an idea.

I found their site by looking in Google ,but after I found it I just typed in Blackpool Golden Retriever Kennels.
It should be there or you could look at the list of Canadian breeders and look under Ontario.

I will really appreciate it thanks a bunch!!!!!!!!!!!!

The owners of the kennel are ethical, responsible, knowledgeable, and experienced breeders. Overall, I think they run a great kennel.

- They’re knowledgeable about the breed they raise.
- They interview all potential adopters and have them complete a questionnaire before agreeing to sell them a puppy.
- They offer litter registration papers as well as AKC registration.
- They provide information on the championship lines of puppys’ parents as well as vet certificates and genetic condition test results.
- They provide a health guarantee for their puppies.
- They encourage potential adopters to come take a look at their dogs, facilities, etc.
- They don’t sale their pups until they’re 7 - 8 weeks old.
- They sale both pet quality and show quality puppies.
- They have policies that require all pet quality dogs to be spayed or neutered.
- They offer tips and such on the breed they specialize in.
- They encourage everyone who buys a dog from them to properly train their dog.
- They recommend what questions prospective buyers should ask when considering purchasing from a breeder.
- They’ll take puppies and dogs back if their owners can no longer keep them.
- They don’t breed dogs that are younger than eighteen months of age.
- They don’t breed their dogs too often.

Yep, if a breeder does everything sensho listed, it’s a respectable breeder and one that should be supported if you haven’t found what you want at a shelter.

Good luck!

The reason I really want to get a dog from a breeder is because you pretty well know what you are getting, but from the shelters around here they lie about what you are getting into when you adopt from them. I will probably look at adopting a dog from the shelter once I have gotten my dog from a breeder.

The shelter I work for gives you the full blown truth of the dog, cat, rodent, bird or reptile.

Ya if I knew of a shelter that was like that I would be more into getting from a shelter, but I live in Ontario, Canada and they do not do a lot for the animal shelters. Also with a good breeder you know how the dogs have been raised and everything about their lines history.

But I will be going to the shelter for my second dog!!!!!!!!!
