Pitt or Mastiff rescues in Ca?

Hey guys maybe you can help. There are two 8-10 month old Pitt/Mastiff puppies at my work that were basically abandoned by their owner 3-4 months ago. We’ve kept them as long as we can. We no longer have the room for them to be there. We’ve done all we can, contacted everyone we can. None of the local rescues (AC, SPCA, etc) will even come out to look at them. They’re nice dogs but need some training and they are going nuts because they are cooped up in a 4’ by 6’ pen pretty much 24/7! Nice temperaments but they’re getting very hyper and over excited. They’ve gotta go or they’re gonna have to be put down. Do you guys know of any rescue groups that would take them?

You could go to pet finder and look up rescues in your area

Ouch. This is the WORST time to get puppies into no kill rescues. Everyone is full to the brim and those that don’t euthanize aren’t accepting new animals while those that do are being forced to euthanize. Petfinder.com will have a full list of rescues/shelters in your area.

Have the puppies been fixed? Try posting an ad on craigslist. When the puppies find homes, get them fixed and get reimbursed with the adoption fees. You don’t want unfixed puppies for sale on craigslist, they are likely to end up in the wrong hands. Make sure you do a home check, etc. if you do find someone interested and make sure to get all of their contact info.

I know how frustrating and difficult this situation is, so I wish you all the best. Try the links skullkeeper posted and I hope they find good homes. Trust me, the kennel they are in is far better than the alternative. I’m sure they are very grateful.
