Buster Crosses The Rainbow Bridge Tommrow

Well the time has come. Tomorrow i will loose my very first best furry friend.

Buster our heeler of 15 yrs had another stroke about 2 weeks ago...we hoped that he would recover but 2 days ago he took a turn for the worst and is getting worse everyday...So as a family we have deiced to put him to sleep...he’s been a good dog since i was 2 so at 17 I am glad he was able to be around for most of my high school life..... He will be missed but i just figured i would inform all y’all that there will be one less dog in my many canine stories y’all hear.

Oh I am so sorry! Try to focus on all the good and love he brought to your life, and you were really lucky to have had him all those years, thats pretty old. You are doing the right thing, so he wont suffer. We lost my sons first dog last year, the dog (Cheeto) was 11, and my son said the same thing, that he had lost his first best friend. Your dog was lucky too, to have such good owners who loved him so much! Big Hugs, Melisa

Hey, sorry you have to go through this. We just had to put down our dog on Saturday, so I know how it is...at least the dog was able to get you through those tough times when you could really use a friend (middle school, early high school), and the dog was lucky enough to have you guys to see him through his hard times too. It’s tough when the dog has been a significant portion of your life, like you don’t even know what it’s like without them, but this really is for the best. At least you’ll have good memories to hold on to forever, and the dog will pass knowing that it was loved deeply.

I wish you all the best, and my sincere condolences.

I know how it feels. We just put down our Black Lab last Thursday (9-18-08). He was suffering from seizures and he was 11. He started freaking out on me so i called a family friend that knew what was going on and we took him to the vet. He was panting ALL day long and just wouldn’t stop. He fell 3 times going down the stairs, outside and going up the stairs. I had to make the decision (my parent’s dog but i grew up with him to..so i was watching him and my parents were in the mountains). The vet offered antibiotics but we knew it wouldn’t do anything. My mom should’ve put him down a long time ago...seizures are the scariest thing to watch your dog go through. So..last Thursday at about 2:45 PM..We put him down. Hes in a good place now but i miss him horribly (as i tear up). Its hard going to my parents house to only 2 dogs now..when one was his buddy, she misses him.. i can tell. Don’t take it out on yourself at least, just remember the good times. Just know you’re not alone with this stuff right now..its the hardest thing i will have ever done and i never want to be the one to make that decision again..Sorry for your loss.

Ah hunny sorry to hear about Buster
Its a hard thing to go through but just remember he had a awesome life with you
No one else could of offered him any better
Just treasure the time you had with him
I always believed that there not really dead until you stop remembering them
So as long as you keep your memory’s of him both good and bad and talk about him
He’s still there with you just not in a dog form
Thats what has kept me going since Kimba and Nelly have passed on and the 3 of them can run around and play all day and all night together
Just remember were all here for you

I know how you feel, I was a mess after my best friend in the world (and now she’s my best friend AND my best angel), Peaches, died on April 9th 2008. I was crying and I collapsed on the pavement and was screaming, hysterical. I could barely go to school the next morning, and my friends were fortunately very supportive, cuz I think it’s safe to say she was probably the fave of all dogs people I’m friends with knew. They stayed up through the night with me, and now I’m making a scrapbook with all my fave memories with her. I didn’t know WHEN she was gonna die, I just walked in and found her on the floor, but my best advice to YOU would to be to make the most of the memories. Give him all his favorites, sleep next to him tonight, and stroke him when he’s in pain, and never leave his side. Give him lots of praises and show him the real meaning of love (I’m sure he already knows from prior experience). Write stories and poems and songs to release the pain, and find someone to talk to. Just let it out; we’re all here for you, and my PM inbox is open if you need to talk, and my email is Jeni_Popstar@hot mail. com
Peace be with you,
-Peaches and Jeni
