ALL small dogs are a challege to housebreak, and like Future said, all puppies can be destructive. If you work a lot, sighthounds have a tendency to tolerate daytime crating well, given their history as commercial racing dogs, they have been bred for generations to calmly tolerate small spaces. They DO however, absolutely NEED there exersize, and fenced in yards or good secure collars are needed, as they are not very good at coming when called. they are runners. Poodles can be yappy, as can many other breeds. For trainability, generally the Papillon is considered the most intelligent toy breed. I have owned 3 of them myself, and only 1 of them was not a crazed outside barker. but they were all WICKED smart, and the boys housebroke easily (keep in mind they were neutered at 6 months of age). the girl, however, was scetchy. if u were a minute late, she would go find her own potty spot. EEK! well, hopefully this was slightly helpful!! |

But my opinion is a Greyhound for all the above reasons plus they are loyal easily trained but dont follow you like a shadow! If you did decide on Greyhound i would really reccommend a ex racer as you wont have all the puppy problems you may need to remind it on house training but you may not most ex racers are flung to the side if the snap a tendon or break a toe from ages 9months an up i believe ex racers deserve a nice place they can call home and the only amount of running they will do is chasing a ball or frisbee :) good luck with your descision :) |

You may know different personality of Greys than i have or you may just go by what you read but i go by the vast amount of ex racers i no amd they are how i describe them in my previous post all round i think they are a awesome breed from there appearance to personality/nature the only downside to them is that thry are sighthounds so ex racer or not they will take off after something and excelle t recall training doesnt always work |
